On 24 November, Asturagua presented the Mieres Technical School's Premio Fin de Grado in Civil Engineering for the best academic record for the 2016-2017 academic year, awarded to Patricio José Martínez García.

The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by the Rector Santiago García Granda and held in the library of the University of Oviedo, to coincide with the Festival of Santa Catalina de Alejandría, the patron saint of the university.

The prize was presented by Gerardo Pérez, Operations Manager at Asturagua.
