Asturagua and Llanes Town Council are committed to the environment with the implementation of paperless billing

  • This new service, which will be free and optional, will avoid the emission of approximately 1.38 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere and savings of 108,632 litres of water.

Asturagua, as the company responsible for water management in the municipality, is very aware of the need to respect and care for nature and the environment in all its actions. Therefore, its priorities include achieving the minimum possible environmental impact, using water resources rationally and sustainably, and promoting a concern and commitment to the environment and respect for nature. Hence, Llanes Town Council and Asturagua have decided to introduce 'paperless billing’: a free service by which people can receive their invoices in digital rather than printed format.

With this small gesture, all who wish to can contribute to looking after the environment by reducing the carbon and water footprint associated with the issue of printed Asturagua bills. If all customer opted for paperless invoices, total CO2 emissions savings would be approximately 1.38 tonnes, and 108,632 litres of water and 6,925 kg of wood would be saved.

In addition to environmental benefits, paperless bills have other advantages:

  • Speed: users receive the bill as soon as it is issued.
  • Convenience: it can be consulted wherever and whenever customers want.
  • Security: only the customer receives personal and consumption data in their email.

EIn the next few days, service users will receive a letter to adopt this form of billing, unless they prefer to continue to receive paper invoices, in which case they should provide notification by sending an email to mifacturaonline@asturagua.es or calling the free telephone number on (+34) 900 330 019.

Customers who have not provided Asturagua with an email address or mobile phone number who wish to register for this service can do so via the Asturagua online office or the online office's app.
