Drinking water treatment

Asset Publisher

Your water, clean water

The raw water that is collected contains organic and inorganic matter and microorganisms (pathogens and nonpathogens). Consequently, it must go through various processes in drinking water treatment plants (DWTP) (roughing filtration, flocculation and decantation, filtration and disinfection) to make it suitable for consumption, in other words, to convert it into drinking water.

Select your municipality  and check where the water purification processes comes from. You can also obtain information on the SINAC (National Drinking Water Information System) website.
