This week, Asturagua, in collaboration with the Navia, Llanes, and Ribadesella town councils, has taught the Aqualogía education programme at schools in these towns.

The education programme, which is aimed specifically at third-year primary school children, was implemented last Monday in the Ramón de Campoamor primary school in Navia and the Pedro Penzol primary school in Puerto de Vega; and yesterday at the Valdellera primary school in Posada de Llanes and the Manuel Fernández Juncos primary school in Ribadesella.

With the Aqualogía education programme, Asturagua aims to contribute to raising children's awareness of the importance of water and the environment, educate them in knowledge of the natural and urban water cycles, and promote responsible consumption of this vital resource. Children's participation and interaction are enhanced by using new technologies. Through simple experiments and the use of various digital resources, schoolchildren learn in an enjoyable way about water uses, how water reaches our homes, what treatments it needs so we can drink it or return it to the natural environment, etc.
